As many of you will know, earlier this week MPs voted not to extend the free school meals scheme in England so that it covers the school holidays for families and children who really need them. We know many of you will share our belief that there are no circumstances when it is acceptable for children to fall victim to food poverty.
If you’re concerned a child you know may go hungry over the school half-term holiday, from Monday 26th to Friday 30th October, we are offering (for collection) a free pack lunch for any local child that you feel will benefit from this.
If you feel we can help provide a lunch for your child then please contact us to request a packed lunch during the half term.
We promise to keep all information confidential, no questions will be asked, and we ask of nothing in return: there’s no charge all we ask of you is that you only use this option if you truly need it.
